ANNCast Episode 052 - Viewers Like You V: Battle for the Planet of the Apes

We're back from a brief siesta last week with an all-new callout show! Given the intensely-swamped nature of our usual staff, we're getting right to the good stuff: first up, an otaku in the Navy schools us about actual military accuracy in anime and which shows get it right. Then, we talk to Daniella from allaboutmanga.net about her gig as a freelance manga editor, working on the Hetalia manga, among other things.

Then we finally have Erica Friedman, founder of Yuricon and the Okazu blog on to chat about all things Yuri and, of course, the inevitable breakdown of society thanks to the internet. What else? Then Scott and Jon from the Otaku In Review podcast show up to talk about the upcoming season and all the potentially disappointing and embarrassing titles that await us this month. And that's about it!

*Note: this week's episode title has nothing to do with the episode itself, but Battle for the Planet of the Apes is the fifth Apes movie so there, that's a connection.

I could've gone with Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, but nobody wants that.

...but then I could've said "What does God need with a Podcast?!" though. Damn. Next time.
