Yes, it's out in the UK already. It's in my local library, though admittedly I haven't seen it in the shops. I find it a little surprising that we got it first (or at least not long after the US), as it normally isn't the way of these things (though my local manga-selling bookshop is coming out with new volumes of popular stuff amazingly fast; long may that continue). Ah, I was wondering why the word 'anorak' turned up. Pretty normal slang over here (if perhaps a little dated) , but I didn't think it was because it had been translated into British English. It's equivalent to 'geek' or 'nerd', and so probably fitting for a translation of 'otaku'. The choice of English is quite neat, though, as normally it's the other way around (from Japanese to specifically American English terms and references). I've got a copy of Train Man out to read and am enjoying it. |

Yep - it's out here in the UK, my brother found it in Waterstones and bought it for me for Christmas ^-^
It's a fun read - and a lot more heartfelt than the manga versions |

This has been out in the UK for quite some time, I got it last year as I was browsing in a bookshop and spotted it out of the corner of my eye.
It's quite fun, although I doubt its veracity as it all seems too good to be true. As an aside, I believe the use of the term 'anorak' to describe nerdy types stems from the anorak being the garment of choice of the trainspotter. For the benefit of people who don't know what a trainspotter is, the trainspotter can be found hanging around at the end of railway stations in his anorak with a notebook in which he writes down the number of each train that passes. |

Of course 2chan exists! It's in Japanese (duh). But English speakers have 4chan and 7chan. But for some reason, people look down on channers. |

It was 2ch, not 2chan. 2ch is a text based site while 2chan is an imageboard. And I browse 4chan often, and once you get used to the humour and sarcasm used, you can get some relatively nice conversations. Heck, if it wasn't for 4chan, I wouldn't have seen MariMite, which turned out to be awesome. |

2chan is alot different, nicer, than the english chans. If Train Man were to post his story on 420chan, the thread would be spammed with guro and shock images.
