The manga's volume 21 with Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations 1 "The Magician's Message" will come out September 25, 2006 with a 3-disc case. Volume 22 with the anime intallment "The Boy's Right Eye" will follow on January 17, 2007. Volume 23 with the final anime installment, "The Dream Hime-gimi Envisioned," will arrive on March 17, 2007. ("Hime-gimi is one honorific title for a princess.)

wow, that's impressive that they can go back in time to release.

it's nov 16, 2007, jan 17, 2008, mar 17, 2008

It's actually Nov. 16, 2007 for the first one. ^^; (September 25 is the reservation deadline for bookstores.) Thanks for catching the 2007/2008, though!

Like someone else asked, is this the end of the anime series itself, or is this something new done after the anime series? And will this be released in the US as well, or should I buy the Japanese limited editions?

the anime series spun off into something different at the end.
technically, this is a continuation of where the anime stopped, but since Ohkawa is writing it, it'll be more consistent with the manga than whatever the anime writers did.

and no, it probably isn't the end to the anime or series, the manga has alot after the tokyo arc and is still running. i'm sure if the OVA's do well and maybe if there is a demand, there may be more parts of the story animated.

whether it'll be released in the USA is up to FUNimation. they didn't even license the 2nd season or the xxxHolic anime yet. I guess that depends on the sales of the first season.

I'm sure you might be able to preorder these new OVA's w/ manga online somewhere when it gets closer to the release date...and there's always ebay.

Well, this is fantastic news. They're finally animating the Tokyo arc, by far the best world yet. This is where the "revalation" of the series occurs, and oh, what a revalation it is.

It's also great for people who love X. Really great. Minor world spoilers follow: spoiler[The Tokyo they land in is inhabited by pretty much ALL of the characters of X, except with Fuma and Kamui leading the other sides. Nataku's original female form (his/her creator's dead daughter if I remember correctly) and Daiichi (the wind user who was killed in the battle where Subaru lost his eye) replace Seishirou and Subaru.]

Production IG ensures this will get the adaptation it rightly deserves. This is where (for me) the Tsubasa manga jumped from good to fantastic.

I have to completely agree.
my eyes watered with joy when I read the news of this.
Tsubasa is probably one my most favorite series right now, and with Tokyo Revelations, it just makes me so Happy.

This is the greatest news I've heard all week! I was heartbroken back when I found out there'd be no third season and no Acid Tokyo arc animated, but this makes EVERYTHING better! And no Bee Train to screw it up! *dance of joy*
