Everything I expected to be picked got picked but yay for Tearmoon Empire! I wasn't sure if this would get the attention for pickup but it really surprised me for how funny it is.
Also, I'm sorry, I voted Kingdoms of Ruin as a meme pick and didn't think anybody would vote on it seriously. My condolences to the reviewer. |

Happy about Apothecary Diaries getting in (yay for Rebecca's reviews!), and same for Migi and Dali. The rest of the list is about what I would expect to make it.
I'm a little disappointed that several shows didn't make the cut for reviews (Overtake, The Saint's Magical Power is Omnipotent, Paradox Live, and The Yuzuki Family's Four Sons), but it's a very packed season. I am surprised about the lack of Tokyo Revengers, I can't tell if the exclusion is due to the busy season or a lack of interest. |

Just Frieren caught my eye and I never thought that Dead Necromancer Does Magic or Spy x Family would fail, so I am happy. And, to be fair, even I forgot I was following Dark Gathering.

Glad Apothecary made it without premiere. All the ones I'm watching are here, so that's cool; except Kamierabi which is trash but I'll watch anything with Yoko Taro's name attached.

My top picks are in, so I am happy. Given how packed the season is it is impossible to get everything interesting in. Also, the Zombi slot may see no use given the uncertain status of the episodes.

My two favorite shows so far didn't make it
Well it was to be expected for My New Boss is Goofy since that's mostly a comedy so I don't mind too much. But for The Yuzuki Family's Four Sons I just know the bad subs played a part and it pisses me off  It's already a niche shojo title so it had little chances of making it in anyway but I'm still mad!
At least I'll be there for the Pluto reviews. |

They haven't announced a return date, or anything else concrete about the last 3 episodes. This is mostly earmarking to say that the episode reviews will resume when they release, like with the long-delayed Nier: Automata episodes earlier this year. |

And the award for "least surprising assignment" goes to… 26 streaming review assignments out of 54 series featured in the preview guide -- less than half, even before you factor in the continuations from last season and the fact that Pluto and The Apothecary Diaries weren't in the guide. Series that didn't make the cut include:
Jeez, that's brutal. I guess more than half of my picks got in, so I can't complain. Going by current member counts on MyAnimeList's seasonal chart, the most popular new TV series there that didn't make the cut here are:

It'll be interesting looking at the charts for reader scores, seeing what titles that didn't make it end up scoring well by the end of the season. |
