The most depressing anime Christmas movie. Thinking about the ending still bums me out.

Endless Waltz also takes place around Christmas, but I suppose that isn't celebrating an anniversary this year.

Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, which I have on DVD (and even a couple of Japanese Laserdiscs), is one of those anime that I intend to watch in December every year but it's almost three hours long so I never get around to it or I start it but don't finish it. (I mean, not that I never, ever watch it, but not annually and, when I do, not in December.)
There are basically ten "anime Christmas episodes" that I've settled on for my annual December Christmas anime viewing (which I started on December 6th with the Kamichu Shinto vs. Christmas episode, episode 13, "We Do as We Like") and the only "long" one is The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. |
