These images taken during Toy Fair 2008 seem to be the first bit of merchandise under Funi.

Bookends by Toynami

So with the release of new Dragonball toys, does that mean America will be seeing the toy scouter after all? Very Happy

Toy scouter? Oh, man, make way for hundreds of people at cons dressed as the "OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAND!" meme.

I wonder if there are going to be any Dragonball movie tie-in toys? Like a Goku figure that looks like Justin Chatwin?

if Blue Dragon figures are coming out here soon, when is the anime? I know Viz licensed it a while ago but...

I hope FUNi didn't overpay on the OP stuff. It likely won't be as big as DBZ, even with them handling it, instead of 4Kids. I'd like to see some Claymore toys get out here, though...

Cool! I still like Digimon, so I'll probably be searching for those figures x3

If their Ben 10 and Power Rangers lines are anything to go by (and they are) I think it's safe to say that there will be some sort of scouter toy put out by Bandai outside of Japan.

You really think they wouldn't? I think the biggest reason why they wanted to get back into DBZ figures is just so they could make movie figures (since their first batch of anime figures aren't that exciting).

I think FUNi will be smarter with the license and go with with the collectibles market rather than the childrens market. Especially where even Naruto can't seem to get a foot hold with kids. I'd like to see them stick with Toynami and give One Piece the Bleach treatment (no pun intended).

Start looking, they've been in stores since January.

I was trying to think of why Funi (or any for-profit) would grab such a low margin line like this other than just to say they had the tripple-crown. Hadn't thought of higher-end collectibles. That could make sense if there were enough fans still willing to support the franchise in a post-4Kids world.
