Wow, I am kinda excited about this. I enjoyied the OAVs quite a bit. 13 episodes seems like a good length as well. I just wonder if any R1 companies would be interested in this. CPM had the OAVs, but I don't even think they are licensing anything anymore.

I am increasingly thinking this could turn out to be very very good. I enjoyed the OVA episodes and the staff for this is excellent too, that's lovely promo art.

yeah, it is pretty good, i still have the old VHS tapes of it that i bought from Blockbuster so long ago. I heard the anime wasn't as popular in Japan at the time, and no more episodes were planned on being produced(correct me if I'm wrong) and I always wondered why. I wonder if they are going to pick up after the OVAs(which i would prefer) or just start fresh.

This is pretty much the creative team of Noein working with another studio because Satelight are focused on making Macross Frontier the best animated tv series ever.

Anyway since Noein has been incredible in the 12 episodes I've seen I'm looking forward to this, I'm not expecting the animation to be on par with Satelight shows but I'm hoping it's great still.

Should still look amazing though since Ryosuke Sawa aka Ryotimo is doing the character designs and will probably aniamte a key fight or two in the series. He did the amazing dock battle from episode 12 of Noein... I can't wait to see what he does here.

Sweets! I always thought that the original OVA was a bit short, and I absolutely loved the character designs and animation. I'm stoked!

Frubam this is based on the remake manga that started a few years ago.

Not much difference though honestly.
