Wait, Pierrot's only celebrating its 30th anniversary? Does that mean the Urusei Yatsura TV series, also celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, was its very first production?

Moving their outsourcing from China to India...I think it's going to be time for me to get into a new hobby.

Does anyone know if this project will be a regular anime or if it will only air in India or something like that?

Studio Pierrot celebrated its 30th anniversary two years ago, not this year. Looks like The Wonderful Adventures of Nils was Pierrot's first production, with Urusei Yatsura being its second.

Hey, that's kinda interesting, I wonder if they'll be like Bollywood productions with lots of singing and dancing? Laughing Now there's an idea for an AMV...

Everything will eventually be made in India. They'd be the most populous nation by halfway the century!

Now if they'll just animate the Mahabharata and the Ramayana - I had to read those damn long things in one day to help a friend's essay final paper. Laughing

You're one hell of a speed reader if you really read the Mahabharata and Ramayana in one day. Unless you were really reading some damn long cliff notes, of course. Incidentally, the first thing that came to mind when I saw this article was "Ramayana the animation."

Sorry to say this, but this studio is often a shame to the anime industry. They had the worst quality of production on some titles among hundreds that I happened to watch.
