I find that roses, when properly dethorned, are quite tasty with a bit of butter drizzled over them. Beach lavender, on the other hand, should be deep fried and served with horseradish.

We used to have a cat that would eat rose petals right off the stem. If she entered a room where any flower was present, her nose would start moving around like some sort of detection device. She didn't like daffodils at all, though she did try them once.
