Wow, really good to see Sailor Moon and Sailor V up there. I'm so happy for Kodansha. They really deserve this. To those who thought that Sailor Moon wouldn't sell: Laughing

Yeah, this really is great to hear and the fact that Sailor V's also at the top of the list makes it even better. Very Happy

Wow, Kodansha has four spots in the top ten. I hope Sailor Moon earns them bucket loads of cash. Maybe then they can afford to go back and continue some of those lower selling Del Rey titles, like Nodame Cantabile.

Called it!

Man, how often does a first volume debut at #1? Has it happened at all since the NYT began tracking manga? Toei, you're running out of excuses!

Off the top of my head, Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) and Hetalia Axis Powers both had their first volumes debut at #1 on the NYT. Though those are relatively recent, and still running series - Sailor Moon finished its original run in Japan in 1997!

Sailor Moon first came out in the 90's, through Mixx/Tokyopop, this is a re-release that follows the manga closer.

Really glad to see Sailor Moon doing so well, but man how bad has Naruto fallen. It used to be this massive mainstream hit, and now its second week it's dropped down to number 5 behind Bleach.
