I love the Series im Glad i bought it, with English dub, is great im happy with english cast sentai chose, sound perfect for each characters, i give it B+ , i just hope sentai can do better on dvd case Inside

This is a series that I would probably watch if the English dub were offered freely streaming. There are things about it that seem as though this series would be very entertaining and 'awesome' in the best sense of that word, but not enough of them and not enough in whole to be really worthwhile. Hime still sounds like a really cool character that I'd really dig, but without context equal to her.
I would like to see some of the English dubbed version some time. I have a long-running fondness for Shelley Calene-Black, stemming, fittingly, from Noir and she seems aptly cast in this. What I find most noteworthy is the lack of any mention of grammatical errors, bad jokes, excessive alterations or general incompetence despite Stephen Foster having directed it. I'm glad that he can, evidently, still produce a respectable English dub, despite the notorious faults of his recent work on Guin Saga and Angel Beats, since Sentai seems to rely upon him a lot. I liked his work on Le Chevalier d'Eon and Gilgamesh and was hoping that he could still direct a competent English dub. Oh, I hate to risk treading on the editorial staff's toes, but I think that an <A> was inadvertently hacked off from the very beginning of the article as it presently attributes the first release to, "DV Films," and the phrase describing Shelley Calene-Black's performance doesn't mention that she provided Hime's voice. I liked Princess Resurrection. It's a fun little series with a few genuine slapstick laughs here and there amid the monster action.

It's a very underrated show, but I'm happy that the reviewer pointed out that the main character is more the victim of abuse than the center of a harem. Flandre was the show's highlight for me. I just wish that the manga was still being released. |

I would have to disagree. While I have not yet had the pleasure of seeing the dubbed version, it would apparently heighten the love I already have for this series. By no means is "Princess Resurrection" a genre-defining masterpiece, but it sets out with a certain goal and mindset, then proceeds to nail it. That mindset, to me, was to convey all the cheesy fun that comes with B-grade horror flicks and mix it in with a serialized format featuring a diverse, likable cast. Some quirks with the limited animation and overall pacing sometimes irked me, but it's definitely a B+ in my book, although I'll openly admit that the manga is way better.
However, I don't know if an English dub is incentive enough for me to get rid of the earlier, sub-only release that Sentai put out a while ago. Still, it's good that more people are getting exposed to such a fun little series that was a staple of my adolescence. |

Overall score is a "C" from the reviewer I trust most.
Considering this, and the lengthy delays with the sale recently hosted by Deep Discount, I get the fantastic sensation I just walked away a winner here, dodging a potentially pricey bullet for being suckered by the words "princess" and "goth". 
*dances *tosses poorly encased average onto my growing "backlog" pile. I'll just re-watch Bamboo Blade again. Mmmm.... Kirino. |

I'm a huge fan of the manga, and I just found the anime...lacking. As was pointed out, the action scenes aren't animated well, if not just a bunch of freeze frames. And they did a downright terrible job adapting the series to a 26-episode show. They should have skipped over several of the less-important plot points and just told more of the main story.

I liked this series well enough, it's certainly not great or anything but worth watching
it's been about 4 years since I saw it and I'm curious about the dub, so I may check it out... however the manga is a lot better but unfortunately it stopped getting published here in America |
