I'll just be the one to say it sony really needs to get off their high horse here in the states and help localize some of these games.

It has nothing to do with Sony... its Key that is preventing localizations. Basically, they want to get paid for their license what it would be worth in Japan, and American sales wouldn't make the price they're asking for worth it. Theres no way it would sell 100-150k over here. So because of that, Key has no interest in releasing their stuff over here.

Perhaps that has something to do with it but keep in mind these are ports made by prototype. The only said company would need to license from that company "i could be wrong however". Now I also recall Sony and Microsoft's stand back in the ann cast "how's that visual novel coming" saying that they don't recognize visual novel as true games nor do they want them on their platforms in the east.
Yes I'm aware of key's xenophobic stance on their games outside of japan however they need to get over that.

The whole Rapelay did not help the situation at all for companies wanting to brand outside either.
