Code Geass had a 4-5 month delay between the last two episodes of season 1, didn't it?

I can't help but think they're redoing the ending to keep it open for a sequel, since nobody expected it to be the massive success its turned out to be (its been reported every single copy in Akiba is sold out, and ordering it on Amazon won't get you your copy until middle of January since its out of stock for a while). Thats only thing I can think of for such a big delay.

It could be that, coupled with the stringent exacting quality the series now needs as a headliner. Episode 10 was getting sloppy.

The thing is even if they had both episodes 11 and 12 finished by the second week in January, they still need to find airtime for them.

So there are scheduling issues adding to the delay, and possibly accounting for most of it.

With the new seasons starting, there's possibly not a suitable gap in the schedule until some of the Winter season finishes.

They could easily air it on ATX, which is the 24-7 anime channel that plays reruns most of the time. Thats where Kokoro Connects final 4 episodes is airing.
