The problem is that the Athena arc is likely too long for a single season, and Hayates time of getting a daytime timeslot is gone. They could start it I guess, but theres no guarantee it ever finishes in anime form. |

There are other storylines outside of the Athena arc that could be animated into story arcs. I'd take anything from the manga over the anime-only stuff Manglobe's done to cause the quality of the Hayate franchise to tank for more recent offerings. |

Gah, seriously this is getting worse and worse, Hata doesn't even try any more and just gives character fan-service. This is really becoming like one of those random sh*tty harem animes.
I didn't' watch CTMEOY, and I will certainly not waste my time watching this... 
At least give us back the season 1 fillers, they were more accurate to the storyline.
Nope, the Athena arc is not that long. Just like season 2 successfully adapted Vol.5 to Vol.15, the Athena arc (Vol.16 to Vol.26) could fit in a 26 episodes series as well. |

At least from the beginning of the anime, it was a standard harem romcom with added parodies and comedy. 3 girls like him a lot, with a lot of other girls also liking him to an extent, and he gets into all kinds of typical harem situations. Well the movie and can't take my eyes off you are canon to the manga storyline. Since Hata confirmed recently that they take place after the events currently happening in the manga. and it looks like cuties is taking place within the last two arcs of the manga so odds are we'll see chps that center around each character animated. |

Well, its not a sh*tty harem anime. I just ignored the "Sh*tty" part the person said and was saying that its been a harem type of anime since the beginning. |

I don't use harem as pejorative word, so clearly I was reacting to the adjectives "random" and "shitty." However, I would say the harem stuff was somewhat muted in the beginning of Hayate and only picked up steam as the series went on.
