I am okay with this.

I saw the first episode a few days ago on Hulu Plus, and it intrigued me. Consider me on board for more.

Hmm...So should I take this to mean the anime will be a 2-cour? I'd be down with that, I'm really enjoying it so far. Very Happy

it depends what you mean by 2-cour. If it has more than 12 eps means 2-cours, then yes.

No, a cour is a full season, or a "quarter" of the year. To say it is two cour would mean it has another full season in the works, which isn't the case. The only thing that has been announced is a spinoff episode and an OVA tied to the game release. So, an additional two episodes.

I'm glad the show is doing well. It always manages to make me chuckle and I really like the characters.

Why is this one LN getting so much love when other, "arguably" "better" ones are not? Same thing with the Pet girl one, got 24 episode right off the bat.

DAnime hyper had to wait a few months just to announce what is probably only another 12 episode season. Zombie desu is all but dead or in limbo. Hell even SAO which I think is alright, but some people swear by, has not really had an announcement of any continuation. This is not even counting ones that have not been picked up at all.

And Snafu is getting a guarantee until at least vol 6.

Simply because the LN publishers want to promote certain LNs more since they have more potential. They are the ones funding and getting these things made, after all.

And Kore wa Zombie has had 24-26 episodes including OVAs, and SAO has had 25 episodes and a guaranteed sequel. Those aren't really good examples.

Would that really be enough? I mean, 6 volumes worth of content, normally they would adapt 4 volumes into one cour which is approximately 12 episodes, which make 1 volume 3 episodes worth, well hopefully they won't rush things and cut off some good content

Well, for one Magi and Sword Art Online are owned by different property holders (one is Shonen Sunday, and SAO is one of those LN labels)... so they really have nothing to do with eachother. A1 isn't the one who'd be announcing anything, since they're just the studio hired by those companies to animate their properties. With that said, Sword Art Online totally had a sequel hinted at the end, and SAO sold amazingly well (3rd best seller of the year), so I see no reason to think there won't be a sequel.

This seems more like what OreImo did, where they're adding on an additional episode after the initial broadcast(except this one is actually airing on TV). So basically consider this a 13 episode season, with ep. 13 being the spin-off.

Kinda curious as to who the spin-off will revolve around.

Well, Toradora! did 10 volumes in 24 episodes. The first volume was done in 2 episodes, followed by two mostly filler episodes. (There was a scene or two from book 2, but most of it was additional character development that wasn't in the novels.) If this is going at a Toradora! like pace, 6 volumes in 12 episodes is a fair bet. Never having read the novels, I don't know how far they are along or where the volume breaks are in the existing episodes.

I am pleased that it is getting more, but the "spinoff" episode worries me. It will probably be about the stereotypical Otaku dork.
