Maybe in the modern era, but you've seen that ukiyo-e art of the fisherman's wife; everyone has.

He attended the london MCM expo last year. Poor guy they had moved his stall and when I saw him he looked really lonely, though he had a lady partner with him. I was probably the only guy who recognised him. We had a long chat for like 10 minutes about his work and I got a couple of photos with him. He is a nice person.

Met him at NY ComicCon last year. Seemed like a real nice guy. His table was manned by a nice older Japanese lady. It was very surreal to be handed autographed smut by this happy grandmotherly woman. Smile

You were hardly the only person who recognised him, I got a signed poster and other goodies before the move. And I saw a few odd people checking his stuff out after the move, however he was definitely a quiet stand for any professional artist (even ignoring the anime attached to his work), much of the attention was limited by the odd stand on the first day and being on the opposite side of the most popular anime seller or voice actor signings with hour long lines.

Looks like he's back. Well, at least he's making rounds. Wasn't he at a past con some years ago?
