I have to agree about the RPG themes feeling like a bit much. While I had a LOT of problems with how the anime adaptation was handled, one thing I did appreciate was the way they redesigned the first dungeon. The way they did it felt more thematically appropriate for Amon, as well as just more attractive and interesting in general compared to the manga's standard RPG-style dungeon.

Really? Okay, that makes me even more excited to keep reading this.  I made that inference because Morgiana is Jamil's slave, and in the original she was Cassim's slave.

Glad I wasn't the only one who got a bit of a "romance dawn" sort of vibe while reading this, for what they were I enjoyed the first couple of chapters (I've read all of the scans but still) I'll definetly be buying this since this has been one of those shonen series I really enjoy that's ongoing, I wouldn't call it a favorite but it's damn close.
Also having read the last chapter of spoiler[Soul Eater] a though crossed my mind when you mentioned aladdin's love for boobs being there for the sake of fanservie. I myself thought this for a while now(though in my honest opinion I thought it was kind of funny, yes go ahead and sue me) but spoiler[given what *little* we learn of aladdin's past I wonder if his desire for boobs has something to do with some subconsious wanting for maternity or something...] I could be dead wrong but eh, just thought I toss that out there. |

You know, I hadn't thought of that. It's not out of the question, and Ohtaka is certainly capable of throwing in something serious like that. I like the theory! (And nothing wrong with finding boob humor funny!) |

I've finally got around to reading and I'm sold already. I love the spin on a classic tale and was much funnier than I expected it to be, there were parts which had me burst out with laughter. I hope we see more of Laylah, I thought her's and Aladdin's personalities work well together. Also Aladdin is so cute
