Uh, wrong video? The one shown in this article is something related to Pixel movie that only runs for 10 seconds.

This is the CM I watched on another site based on Gunslinger Stratos:

Edit; never mind, it works now.

If you're one of those people that are fixated on the guy then he's not even writing anything for this anyway. The game this anime is based off of is essentially just a Gundam clone team based arcade style shooter by Square Enix where he is credited with coming up with a back story much like was the case for Aldnoah.Zero for reason I assume have to do with him being popular with nerds. I don't know why the article claims that he has anything to do with the anime. In any case the scenario just looks like a brief blurb of the same old cliches and themes he always comes up with. Here it is:

Quote:
In 2115, the country known formerly as Japan has been split into two parallel worlds: the Frontier S (Stratos) and the 17th Far East Imperial City Management District (第十七極東帝都管理区). Frontier S is an outlaw universe in which freedom runs rampant, while the 17th Far East Imperial City Management District is a totalitarian universe completely bereft of freedom and is under constant surveillance. When the two universes is starting to fuse into one, the government of each worlds initiates the Operation Stratos (オペレーション・ストラトス), a world-scale protocol wherein a handpicked group of gunslingers, mercenaries, and special individuals, each from the two universes, will be sent in the year 2015 to alter the past by eliminating the other side until only one group survives, erasing a parallel universe in the process.

The story revolves on a group of gunslingers, each from the two universes who participate in Operation Stratos, particularly on a group of four childhood friends: Tohru Kazasumi, Kyōka Katagiri, Kyōma Katagiri, and Shizune Rindo, who all must confront their own flaws and differences when they battle their alternate selves in order to survive.

After that there is no story that I'm even aware of and the game is pretty much an arcade social thing.

That's the game.

So this sounds like Terminator. I'm cool with that.

I was indeed disappointed overall with works that are associated with his name. I think that your hypothesis, that they use his name to attract the fanbase, is valid. Even for stuff he didn't actually write.

While the models look sharp and crisp, the animation overall is meh (maybe meh+).

So by "one character will die in the anime," does he mean "per episode"? Because if it's just one death the whole series, it might get a little boring. I mean even Trigun had rampant death in the latter half, and there were tons of gunslingers.

On one hand I want to like this since it looks pretty cool, but on the other hand I have a feeling it'll just be promotion for the game with a poorly written plot.
