At their panel Saturday afternoon, Manga Entertainment showed the trailer for the highly anticipated Ghost in the Shell 2.0, a remastered version of the classic Ghost in the Shell movie. The Blu-ray release will be hitting shelves on October 27, and will be a Best Buy exclusive. Amongst the highlights of the new version are newly animated backgrounds.
The Blu-ray also includes a behind-the-scenes featurette, and a “making of.” It will also include the original 1995 theatrical release of Ghost in the Shell, although the representative was not able to confirm rumors that the film was only in 1080i.
This was followed by a screening of Blood: The Last Vampire.
