Bamboo's Harrowing But Victorious Tale of True Crime in Chicago

Located just minutes from Chicago's bustling downtown area and business district, Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo gave comic book, movie, and anime fans a chance to experience all that the Windy City has to offer, as well as a chance to hang out with fans of all ages and interests. Embracing the diversity of the attendees, the convention had a wide assortment of panels and activities, ranging from a Q&A with Thor actor Chris Hemsworth and Q&As with the casts of The Vampire Diaries, True Blood, and The Walking Dead, to panels with anime voice celebrity Spike Spencer, to a comedy showcase featuring Patton Oswalt, to a room mysteriously marked “Speed Dating.”

And, for a city known widely for its food, the convention embraced even that, not only hosting a “Comic Guide to Food” on the website, but also a panel on comic books and food with celebrity chef Rick Bayless.

Although it's only in its second year, with a great location and a schedule meant for everyone to enjoy, C2E2 is rapidly establishing itself as one of the Midwest's conventions to keep on the radar.
