Otakon 2013
Crunchyroll

by Bamboo Dong,

The anime streaming site Crunchyroll held a panel Saturday morning, aiming to promote the services of their website, as well as answer a few questions. They started the panel with a few reminders of where fans could watch streams, such as from their browsers, Apple TV, PS3, Xbox, and PS Vita, as well as Android and iPhone. The panelists also talked a little about some of the features on their site, such as the Crunchyroll Ambassador program for cosplayers, as well as their premium accounts for anime clubs.

This season, Crunchyroll is streaming ten continuing simulcasts, including popular titles like Naruto, Attack on Titan, Hunter x Hunter, Space Brothers, and others. For the summer, there are 26 new titles, all of which can be browsed by navigating to the “Simulcasts” tab on the website. Some titles include Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club, WATAMOTE, Sundays without God, Yami Shibai, and others.

In terms of new catalogue titles, fans can now watch Rose of Versailles, the classic anime adaptation of Riyoko Ikeda's manga about the events leading up to the French Revolution. Also to be added soon is Jubei-chan, a series about a girl who learns that she's the reincarnation of Yagyu Jubei. The title was previously released in North America by Bandai Entertainment, and recently re-released by Media Blasters.
