posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

The official website of the Nintendo 3DS game based on Gō Ikeyamada's Kobayashi ga Kawai Sugite Tsurai!! (Kobayashi Is So Cute That It's Painful!) manga revealed the game's August 27 release date on Thursday. The website also revealed the game's full title as Kobayashi ga Kawai Sugite Tsurai!! Game Demo Kyun-Moe MAX ga Tomaranai (*´ェ'*) (Kobayashi Is So Cute That It's Painful! Heart-squeezing Moe Max Won't be Stopped Even Though It's A Game (*´ェ'*)).

The website also unveiled a visual for the game's characters on Thursday.

Those who pre-order the game will receive a telephone number, which allows them to converse with Aoi Sanda (played by Daisuke Ono). During the call, game original character Erio Falcone (Tatsuhisa Suzuki) will also make an appearance.

The game's cast includes:

The cast, aside from Suzuki, is returning from the drama CD adaptation. Ono also starred in the OVAs that were bundled with the third and sixth volumes of the manga.

Ikeyamada is supervising the game's story and characters, and the game will feature original scenarios for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day.

The manga's story revolves around twin brother and sister Mitsuru and Megumu Kobayashi who switch places and attend the other sibling's school. Things get strange when Megumu realizes that the school that her popular brother Mitsuru had been going to was in fact a school for delinquents. When attacked by a group of bullies, she meets a mysterious boy with an eye patch.

Ikeyamada began the manga in Shogakugan's Sho-Comi magazine in August 2012. Shogakugan released the 11th compiled volume of the manga on April 24. Ikeyamada revealed in the 10th volume that the manga was entering its final arc with the 11th volume.

Viz Media revealed last October that it had licensed the series for North America under the title So Cute It Hurts!!. The company plans to release the first volume in June.
