The preview at the end of episode 21 introduces a handsome young detective. This scene parodies Case Closed's "Conan's Next Hint" with the lines "Next Prism Hint!" and "There is only one truth!" Update: The character introduced is not a detective, but a famous Prism Star. He is also voiced by Minami Takayama, who voiced Conan Edogawa in Case Closed.
In episode 12, both TOKYO GIRLS' STYLE and Dream5 make anime cameos. These bands are both actual bands, like Prizmmy and PURETTY.
In episode 16, the two Magical Mion theme songs are "Pretty Rhythm de Go!" and "Mera Mera Heart ga Atsuku Naru" with different lyrics.
In episode 19, the rhythm game the girls play is a large replica of the actual Pretty Rhythm arcade game.
In episode 49, the same intro music that was used during the first 13 episodes of Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream is used.
