Trivia:

The appearance and name of Nana-senpai is a strong reference to Nana Osaki from Ai Yazawa's NANA manga.

The names of "Shi-chan" and "Sao-chan" are references to their voice actresses, Shizuka Itou and Saori Goto, respectively.

In episode 1, around 16:16 you can see Miss Monochrome (an original character created by Yui Horie) in the crowd of clubs.

In episode 6, at about 05:05, the shocked faces that the members of the festival club make are a parody of similar faces that many characters make in the long running shoujo manga Glass no Kamen (ガラスの仮面 or Glass Mask)

In episode 8,around 16:30 on the desk you can see an original snacks by Morinaga that is Golden Time Potelong Sticks

In episode 11, there is a short appearance of Miss Monochrome in the foreground during the party.

In episode 18, when Tomoyasu, the bassist dressed like a yakuza, comes to Nana-senpai's flat while only Kôko is present, the latter has a flashback while scared. The whole flashback is a parody of the opening of the 1974 anime series "Heidi", directed by Isao Takahata (based on Johanna Spyri's novel).

In episode 24, around 23:42 you can see Miss Monochrome poster on Nijigen-kun room.

In episode 24 around the 17:00 mark the song that begins playing is a cover of Toradora's "Startup". Yukari Hashimoto composed the music for both series.
