Trivia:

Haruka's character is modeled after the female protagonist in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.

Haruka's name in the english version in May.

Megumi Hayashibara, the voice of Musashi, left for several episodes for maternity leave. She was replaced by her friend Akiko Hiramatsu.

It may not be surprising that that Haruka and Kasumi share similarities, such as 1) being tomboys and 2) the fact that they travelled with Satoshi after their bicycles were destroyed. Their major differences are 1) Haruka has a younger brother, while Kasumi has three older sisters; and 2) Haruka dislikes Pokemon while Kasumi is a Pokemon trainer.

Satoshi's (Ash's) Badge Case that he recieved from Senri (Norman) in Advanced Generation originally had a red PokéBall symbol on it. For some reason, this was changed to a red rectangle in the English dub. However, during the "Advanced Battle" Season, the dub uses the corresponding Japanese title screen, which includes the unedited Badge Case

As of the end of Battle Frontier, Satoshi/Ash has collected a total of 35 Badges (inclduing the Frontier Brain emblems) and Haruka/May has collected 10 Ribbons.

As of the end of Battle Frontier, Satoshi/Ash has captured the following Pokémon since arriving in Hoenn: Taillow/Swellow, Treeko/Grovyle/Sceptile, Corphish, Torkoal, and Snorunt/Glalie. He picks up his Phanpy that he captured in Johto and it eventually evolves into a Donphan.

As of the end of Battle Frontier, Takeshi/Brock has captured the following Pokémon since arriving in Hoenn: Mudkip/Marshtomp, Lotad/Lombre/Ludicolo, and a Usohachi.

As of the end of Battle Frontier, Haruka/May has captured the following Pokémon: Torchic/Combusken, Wurmple/Silcoon/Beautifly, Skitty, Bulbasaur, Munchlax, Squirtle, and Eevee.

As of the end of Battle Frontier, Musashi/Jessie has captured the following Pokémon since arriving in Hoenn: Seviper and Wurmple/Cascoon/Dustox.

As of the end of Battle Frontier, Kojiro/James has captured the following Pokémon since arriving in Hoenn: Cacnea, Chimecho, and Mime Jr.

Since arriving in Hoenn, the following Pokémon have learned attacks that need TMs (Technical Machines) in the games: Pikachu (Iron Tail), Swellow (Aerial Ace), Skitty (Blizzard), Munchlax (Solar Beam), Donphan (Hyper Beam), and Eevee (Dig and Shadow Ball).

Noland, the first Frontier Brain, is the first Pokémon League Boss (which also include Gym Leaders and the Elite 4) that trains a Legendary Pokémon, in this case Articuno.
