The doujin game "Tsukihime" was first released in Comic Market 59 (Winter 2000) from the doujin group TYPE-MOON
Buddies since middle school, the two founders of the doujin group TYPE-MOON - Mr. Takashi Takeuchi and Mr. Kinoko Nasu quit their jobs to focus on creating the doujin game "Tsukihime."
"Tsukihime" is preceded by Mr. Nasu Kinoko's earlier doujin novel called "Kara no Kyoukai." Many of TYPE-MOON's titles and releases are related to each other. For example, the description of "koyuu kekkai" and the differences between "mahou vs. majutsu" are frequently referred to in their storylines.
Due to the success of their doujin game, which spawned off numerous collectible figurines, trading cards, merchandise, and even its own TV anime series, TYPE-MOON decided to go pro in the summer of 2003.
TYPE-MOON's first ero-game as a professional soft house - "Fate/stay night" sold over 100,000 copies in the first three days. The number is very amazing considering this is an adult game.
The large letters on Ciel's back are Hebrew letters, upside down and reversed. They read "Even Oreh" which means roughly "Stone Skin".
About 7:45 into the forth episode there is a close up on a policebanner which reads "Keep out". However, when it zooms out you see the banner being misspelled "Keap out"
