Lupin III: The Fuma Conspiracy (movie)

When the Fuma are exposed to the hallucinogens, Lupin's face reverts into what he look like in the Red Jacket series, Miyazaki directed episodes of the Red Jacket series, Pink Jacket series, & Secret of Mamo.

The idea of Zenigata beliveing Lupin died in a ship wreck was originally intended for the opening of Secret of Mamo.

According to the staff members, the most difficult part of this OAV was coming up with the right ending.

According to Yasuo Otsuka, Fujiko was originally going to be the one to get married in this OAV, but one of the script writers suggested having a different and younger woman besides Fujiko. Goemon ended up being the character to get married to this woman since the writer agreed Lupin can't be the choice of the groom if he's not marrying Fujiko.

The reason why this OAV takes place in Japan was because the staff members felt it would be easier to get inspirations for the locations by simply taking road trips to certain countrysides of Japan rather than spending so much time in trying to get photos and research of outside countries.

Kouichi Yamadera's first appearance in a Lupin III related anime as the voice of a cop being lead by Zenigata. 24 years later he will eventually inherit the role of Zenigata after Goro Naya retired from doing the voice for 41 years.

Toshio Furukawa was a fan of Lupin III prior to voicing him just for this OAV.

Banjou Ginga, Kazuaki Koide, Kôhei Miyauchi, Mami Koyama, Masashi Hirose, Seizo Katou & Toshio Furukawa were the only voice actors in this OAV who have previously provided voice work in various Lupin III related anime. While Kouichi Yamadera, Shigeru Chiba & Yutaka Shimaka would later provide voice work in future Lupin III related anime.

Seizo Katou hurt his throat for all of the scenes that involve Zenigata being angry.

At age 60 during the release of this OAV, Seizo Katou is the oldest voice actor to have ever portrayed Zenigata.

The first Lupin III related anime since the Green Jacket series to not have music by Yuji Ohno.

At age 33 Kaneto SHIOZAWA, was the youngest actor to voice Goemon.

Seizo Katou's last role in a Lupin III anime.

This is the second Lupin III anime to have Lupin up against a band of ninjas baring the Fuma Clan name. His previous encounter with a Fuma Clan was in episode 36 of the second TV series. It should be noted that the Fuma Clan in this OAV are not the same ninjas from the TV series, but an entirely different group.
