Dubfectionist

A term coined by Anime News Network editor in chief, Christopher Macdonald, a "dubfectionist" is a person who will watch dubbed Anime, if and only if the dub is as good as the original material. Dubfectionists do not feel that English dubs are inherently inferior, yet tend to feel that most English dubs are inferior and are more often found watching subtitled Anime after having "sampled" the English dub.

On the ocasion that they do find a dub that they feel is as acceptable, or even on ocasion better than the original, they may chose to watch the Anime in English.
