Plot Summary: Takenouchi Kaguya is the princess of Takenouchi clan, which one of the two celestial royal families that reside on the moon. Kaguya’s mom Takenouchi Fumiya, is the acting queen of the Takenouchi clan who expects Kaguya to eventually take up responsibility and become the next queen in line. Kaguya however has no interest in becoming queen and just wants to live a carefree life despite being the heir to the throne. One day the rival royal family known as the Umenouchi clan starts up a coup by taking over the moon’s government. Knowing that she can’t ensure the safety of her daughter, Fumiya sends both Kaguya and a powerful katana that symbolizes her ownership of the moon to Earth. Without the sword, the Umenouchi clan isn’t able to claim their spot within the moon’s government. Kaguya now must learn to become stronger in order to reclaim her place within the throne.
