Akira Toriyama to give eponymous award in international youth competition
The Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has announced (PDF) its fifth annual Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, in which entrants under the age of 15 from around the world submit their car designs. In the press release, Toyota announced that Dragon Ball manga creator Akira Toriyama will act as a judge and select one of the finalist designs for the "Akira Toriyama Award."
The contest is open to entrants under the age of 15 from 64 countries around the world. Entries must be submitted by January 31, 2011. One winner will be selected from each nation, and these winners will compete in the World Competition in Japan in May. Prizewinners will be invited to Japan to attend an award ceremony in August.
