ZANEEDS, a musical group who created songs with the synthesized vocals of Hatsune Miku and other Vocaloid idols, will participate in a Vocaloid Music Conference at San Francisco's J-Pop Summit Festival on Sunday, August 28 at 2:00 p.m. The venue is the SUPERFROG galley at 1746 Post Street (map). The main panel topic at the conference will be "the creative explosion caused by Internet platforms and Vocaloid Hatsune Miku, and how it's affecting the future of music."

According to the organizers of the J-Pop Summit Festival, ZANEEDS "will screen several music videos and discuss work they have done with many Miku-inspired creators and animators." ZANEEDS also composed this year's J-Pop Summit Festival theme song, "Tokyo Beat."

The conference will also feature Ikura and Kozue, members of the vocaloid music dance unit DANCEROID. The moderator will be Brian Zisk, the founder of September's S.F. Music Summit

US$10 tickets for the event can be bought online, but there is a US$1.54 fee.

On Saturday, August 27, there will be a "Miku Mix DJ Battle" in which ZANEEDS and the underground DJ Amaya create Hatsune Miku remixes at the J-Pop Summit's Main Stage in Peace Plaza.
