Nikkei: Producers Looking Into 2nd Tiger & Bunny Season

The August 10 edition of Nikkei Marketing Journal reported that while the last episode of Sunrise's current Tiger & Bunny television anime series will air next month, the producers are looking into a second season. A source for the newspaper added that the average rating has been above 2%, which sets a new standard among other programs in the same timeslot.
The anime centers around heroes for hire — super powered beings known as NEXT who wear sponsor logos while fighting crime on live television. Keiichi Satou (Karas director, The Big O character/mechanical designer) is helming the project, and manga creator Masakazu Katsura (DNA² , I''s, Video Girl Ai, Zetman) designed the characters. Yoshihiro Ike (Blood: The Last Vampire, Karas, Dead Leaves) is composing the music.
Viz Media is streaming the anime outside Japan as it airs.
