3,500 people march in 1.5-kilometer parade event

Japan held its largest Halloween event, a Halloween Parade, in Kawasaki City in Kanagawa Prefecture on Sunday. This year marked the 15th anniversary of the event. Approximately 3,500 people marched in the 1.5-kilometer (0.9-mile) cosplay parade. Participants were dressed as both anime characters and characters from Hollywood films. The sponsors for the parade announced that it drew a crowd of approximately 110,000 spectators.

The Kanaloco news website posted a 110-second video of the parade on its YouTube channel on Sunday.

Update: Tokyo blogger and television host Danny Choo posted more video and photographs from the event, as well as a Halloween greeting from his Mirai Suenaga character.
