Bakemonogatari's NisiOisin Starts Detective Novel Series (Updated)

The official Twitter account of Kodansha's novel imprint confirmed on Monday that author NisiOisin will launch a new novel series called Tantei Toshi Densetsu (Detective Urban Legends) in the literary magazine Mephisto's third volume on December 6.
Kodansha also confirmed that Koimonogatari (pictured right), the last book in the "second season" arc of NisiOisin's Monogatari novels, will ship on December 22. To celebrate this, Kodansha is holding a "NisiOisin Festival" campaign by offering special goods to people who buy certain NisiOisin books, the Bakemonogatari Blu-ray Disc Box, or the complete Bakemonogatari Songs & Soundtracks collection. Kodansha is also selling a 2012 school calendar with all 12 Monogatari cover illustrations from the first Bakemonogatari book to Koimonogatari.
NisiOisin's Monogatari novels inspired the Bakemonogatari television anime series, next January's Nisemonogatari television series, and next year's Kizumonogatari film. There is also NisiOisin's similarly named but separate Katanagatari television anime series and the upcoming Medaka Box television anime series.
