Sega's New Hatsune Miku Rhythm Game Lands on iPhone

Japanese game developer Sega revealed that it will launch Miku Flick, a new rhythm game based on the songs of Vocaloid idol Hatsune Miku, on the iPhone and other iOS devices on March 9. In the game, not only does the player have to tap in sync with the music, but also "flick" across Japanese characters to spell out the lyrics.

The single-player game will cost 1,200 yen (about US$15) in Apple's App Store in Japan. The game has more than one difficulty modes for beginners to experienced players. People can try the game out in person at a special event at Sega Tokyo Dome City on March 8 and 9, and visitors will receive a special sticker flyer for free. (Not coincidentally, "March 9" can be pronounced in Japanese as a wordplay on "Miku," and March 8-9 are the same days that Sega and MAGES. are co-sponsoring the combined "Miku no Hi Dai-Kanshasai" concerts.)
