Idoling Idol Group's Videos Streamed for Free Worldwide

posted on by Egan Loo
Fuji TV also streams Noitamina anime, but only in Japan

The Japanese broadcaster Fuji TV began streaming some of its programming, including television coverage and videos of its Idoling!!! idol group, for free worldwide on YouTube on Tuesday. That includes English versions of two Idoling!!! trailers:

Fuji TV also began streaming Thermae Romae and Kūchū Buranko (Welcome to Irabu's Office :) from its late-night Noitamina programming block, but it is limiting access to its YouTube anime streams to viewers with Japanese IP addresses. Many of the Noitamina anime are streaming outside Japan from Crunchyroll and Niconico.

According to Fuji TV, the streams are part of a strategy to compensate for declining TV ad revenue by generating ad revenue online. Fuji TV also indicated that attracting overseas viewers is a conscious part of its streaming plans.

Update: Second trailer added.
