Rose Guns Days Novel Game's 1st Promo Streamed

The official website for 07th Expansion's Rose Guns Days novel game began streaming the title's first promotional video on Friday. The 3-minute video introduces the story's main characters and scenario with English translations for much of the onscreen Japanese text. 07th Expansion has slated Rose Guns Days for release this year.

The creator and scriptwriter Ryukishi07 announced the title in January, and his dōjin (self-publishing) circle 07th Expansion launched the new personal computer title's website. Ryukishi07 revealed in early January that he would launch a new serial work — his first new one in a year — this year. He added that it will have a completely different world setting than his previous works have had, so he will greatly enjoy the actual writing process.

Ryukishi07 is providing the original scenario. Jiro Suzuki (Umineko no Naku Koro ni , Magical Musō Tenshi Tsukisase!! Ryofuko-chan), Sōichirō (Umineko no Naku Koro ni), Yaeko Ninagawa (Ghost Slayers Ayashi), and Ryukishi07 are designing the characters. The Kinema Moon artist Yūichi Nakagawa (Black Butler, Torikago Gakkyū) designed the logo, and yo-yu is in charge of movie design.

The game's story takes place in Japan after World War II. Devastated in the aftermath of defeat, the Japanese government complies with the Allies' reconstruction plan. Japan begins to recover from the loss after a few years, but America and China intricately divide control of the nation on a municipal level. The many Chinese and American immigrants make Japanese people the minority in their own land.

A girl named Rose Haibara works at the club Primavera and lends money to Japanese people so that they can rebuild their lives. Some people take advantage of that generosity. Meanwhile, Leo Shishigami is best known for his reputation among women. Everything begins to change when that legendary man meets Rose in the spring of 1947.
