Matsuyama reports running total of 22 kilometers in marathon attempt celebrating Naruto game sales

The European branch of Namco Bandai Games posted a video on Friday of CyberConnect2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama's participation on April 15 in the Paris International Marathon while cosplaying as Naruto. In the video, Matsuyama thanks Naruto fans around the world for their support of the Naruto video game franchise. Matsuyama had participated in the event to celebrate the the worldwide shipment of 10 million Naruto video games.

Matsuyama was ultimately unable to finish the marathon, running 22 kilometers (about 13.7 miles), a little over half a marathon. The weather in Paris on the day of the marathon was reportedly at freezing temperatures.

CyberConnect2 has developed the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja fighting game series, including Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations (Naruto Shippūden: Narutimate Storm Generations), which shipped in Japan in February and in North America and Europe in March.
