Angela Aki Sings Space Brothers Anime's Ending Theme

posted on by Ko Ransom
"Kokuhaku" is first single by singer after maternity leave

The Mainichi Shimbun revealed on Saturday that singer Angela Aki's "Kokuhaku" ("Confession"), her first single after her recent maternity leave, will be the ending theme for the Space Brothers anime. The song will be used in the show beginning with its July 1 broadcast. The single will be released on July 11 in a regular edition for 1,050 yen (about US$13) and a limited edition for 1300 yen (about US$16).

Aki gave birth to her first son this February after announcing her pregnancy via her blog on September 15, her 34th birthday.

The anime adaptation of Chūya Koyama's Space Brothers (Uchū Kyōdai) manga follows the story of two brothers, Mutta and Hibito, who made a vow as kids to travel to space. The younger brother Hibito did become an astronaut, but not Mutta. However, Mutta's life changes one fateful day. The series began streaming in English on Crunchyroll on March 31.
