Google to Exhibit at Tokyo's Summer Comic Market in August

Google will exhibit a booth at the Comic Market 82 doujinshi event, which will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight convention center on August 10-12. Google+ Cover Project will give away the "Google+ Cover.zip" cover illustration collection at the event.
Google+ Cover Project is a collaboration with artists to gather illustrations that Google+ social networking service users can upload as cover images on their profiles. Google plans to feature about 50 illustrations, including about ten original cover illustrations, in the free "Google+ Cover.zip" collection. The compilation will also include animated GIF cover images. Artists such as toraco, shirakaba, takegarou, and Kohji Arihara have already contributed illustrations to the project.
A one-hour and nine-minute video of toraco and shirakaba demonstrating the illustration creation process began streaming on Monday.
