Death Note, Requiem From The Darkness Creators Work on Short Story

Battle Royale's Chiaki Kuriyama to perform live reading of story in August
Natsuhiko Kyōgoku (Requiem from the Darkness, Mōryō no Hako, Tōfu Kozō) is writing a new short story titled "Nue" that will have a live reading event on August 18. Takeshi Obata (artist for Death Note, Bakuman., Hikaru no Go) drew an illustration (pictured at right) for the short story.
Actress Chiaki Kuriyama (Battle Royale, Kill Bill) will perform the live reading of the short story August 18 at the TOHO CINEMAS theater in Roppongi Hills in Tokyo. Theaters across Japan will also screen the event. The reading will be streamed live on Ustream and on the Japanese niconico website.
At the live event itself, goods such as posters, mugs, teacups, and book covers will be sold.
