Slam Dunk Song Composer Oda Makes Busou Shinki Music

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Futuristic slice-of-life battle story premieres in October

Slam Dunk theme song composer Tetsuro Oda will contribute to the theme songs and in-program music for Konami's Busou Shinki television anime.

The slice-of-life battle story is set in a future that has neither World War III nor an alien invasion — just an ordinary future set after our current age. In this world, robots are part of everyday life, and they contribute in various aspects of society. "Shinki" are 15-centimeter-tall (about 6-inch-tall) cute partners made to assist humans. Equipped with intelligence and emotions, they devote themselves to serving their "Masters."

Directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi at 8-Bit, the series stars Kana Asumi as Arnval "Ann", Kaori Mizuhashi as Altines "Aines", Megumi Nakajima as Altlene "Lene" and Minori Chihara as Starf "Hina".

The show will air TBS and BS-TBS stations in October.
