Darkstalkers Resurrection HD Port Heads to PSN, XBox Live

CAPCOM's Yoshinori Ono: 1st step in getting a new Darkstalkers game made

CAPCOM producer Yoshinori Ono showed a clip of Darkstalkers characters Lord Raptor and Demitri with the words "Darkstalkers Are Not Dead" during his New York Comic Con panel on Thursday. He added that this is the first step in getting a new Darkstalkers game made.

He then revealed that Darkstalkers Resurrection is hitting the PlayStation Network and XBox Live in early 2013. This is a compilation of the Night Warriors (Vampire Hunter) and Darkstalkers 3 (Vampire Savior) games. It will feature several HD filters, GGPO netcode "better than Marvel vs. CAPCOM Origins," arcade cabinet modes, spectator chat, and challenger mode.

Night Warriors/Vampire Hunter inspired a four-volume original video anime series (pictured right).
