Time-lapse video shows Hiroaki Samura's Manji sketch from initial lines to shading
Japanese manga publisher Kodansha began streaming a video of artist Hiroaki Samura sketching the samurai Manji from his long-running manga series Blade of the Immortal on Monday:
Samura began the series 19 years ago in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon manga anthology. Dark Horse Comics publishes the manga in English. The 29th compiled volume was released in Japan in May. Dark Horse will release the 26th volume in June next year. Samura will end his historical manga in the February 2013 issue of Monthly Afternoon on December 25.
