Hatsune Miku Roomba Robot Is Not What It Sounds Like

Robot vacuum with Miku & Tower of the Sun mashup theme at Tokyo Designers Week
The Yukai Engineering company displayed a Hatsune Miku-themed Roomba robot vacuum at its booth during the Tokyo Designers Week 2012 event that just ended on Monday. The ta-re team designed the Roomba with a motif inspired by a mashup of the virtual Vocaloid idol and the Tower of the Sun landmark from Osaka's World Fair Expo '70.
From design to manufacturing, Yukai Engineering follows a philosophy of making "life more enjoyable through robotics." Its booth demonstrated what life would be like with robots, particularly with robot vacuums and accessories.
Tokyo Designers Week 2012 ran from October 30 to November 5 in front of the Meiji Shrine Gaien gallery.
