60-Centimeter/2-Feet Hatsune Miku Robot Doll Dances in Video

The builder who goes by the name "RozenZebet" posted a video of a 60-centimeter (about two-foot) Hatsune Miku doll robot dancing to the popular song "Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru" on Saturday.
"RozenZebet" (an apparent wordplay on Rozen Maiden and the Japanese pronunciation of Pinocchio maker/father Gepetto) had already built Arisu, a dancing doll robot designed in the same scale as Volks' popular Super Dollfie line. Since the concept of Arisu was a robot that can wear Super Dollfie outfits and accessories, it was a simple matter to "transform" Arisu into Hatsune Miku. (Hatsune Miku is supposed to be 158 centimeters tall or five feet, two inches tall, making this doll about 1/2.6-scale.)
The robot can be controlled with a wireless PlayStation 2 controller, with buttons assigned to different motion sequences. It can also move under programming from a personal computer — "RozenZebet" half-jokingly said that it is like a real-life 3D version of the MikuMikuDance program. Thanks to the robot's compact body, "RozenZebet" had to tighly cram in the parts, including 25 servos. It can walk on two feet, albeit slowly.
