Toriko: Gourmet ga Battle! 3DS Game Announced

Namco Bandai Games opened an official site on Monday for Toriko: Gourmet ga Battle!, a new Toriko video game based on Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro's original manga. The Nintendo 3DS game will be a four-player fighting game where monsters appear in battle.
The official site has revealed that the "Four Heavenly King" Bishoku-ya (Toriko himself, Coco, Sunny, Zebra) will be playable characters. In the game, players can eat even in the midst of battle, and as players eat ingredients, they will gather calories in a calorie gauge. Players can then use those calories to perform "certain kill" techniques.
Toriko: Gourmet ga Battle! is slated to ship this summer.
Namco Bandai Games has previously released three other Toriko games: Toriko Gourmet Survival and Toriko Gourmet Survival 2 for the PlayStation Portable, and Toriko Gourmet Monsters! for the Nintendo 3DS.
