Love Live! Rhythm Game Gets iOS Release

Game developer KLab and Bushiroad's Bushimo label announced the release of the Love Live! rhythm idol game for iOS devices in Japan on Monday.
Love Live! School Idol Festival is free to play and lets users experience two gameplay modes, Story and Live, as all nine members of the idol group μ's (pronounced Muse). Players accrue a score in the rhythm "Live" mode, in which players tap circles at the proper time in order to receive a high score that can be placed on the leaderboard. The songs available in rhythm mode are songs that are featured in the anime, including "Bokura no Live Kimi to no Life." Depending on the player's results, they will receive new idol cards to add to their team, and can be leveled up and transformed by combining them with other idol cards.
In story mode, you work as μ's' helper and manage their training and schedule. The mode is full-voiced with all of the idols' voice actresses from the anime returning for the game. The player interacts with the girls as they live their lives as school idols.
A version for Android devices is planned for release in the future.
In 2010, the anime studio Sunrise, Lantis, and ASCII Media Works' Dengeki G Magazine launched Love Live! as a self-described "ultimate user-participation project" which lets its fans vote on the future of the fictional idols. A series of music CDs and animated music videos then followed.
An anime series adaptation premiered in Japan on January 6. The media service Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan and NIS America has licensed the series for North American release.
