Ace Attorney 5's Latest Promo Introduces New Characters, Gameplay

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata revealed the newest trailer for the Gyakuten Saiban 5 (Ace Attorney 5) Nintendo 3DS video game during the Nintendo Direct session on Friday. The trailer not only reintroduces the main characters Ryūichi Naruhodō (Phoenix Wright), Hōsuke Odoroki (Apollo Justice), and Ryuichi's new partner Kokone Kizuki (name is a pun of “notices it's here”), but also introduces new characters Jin Yūgami (a new rival for Ryūichi) and detective Gōzō Ban.

Ace Attorney 5 is set one year after the fourth main game, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, which was released nearly six years ago. The game will ship on July 25 in Japan. CAPCOM will also be offering free DLC costumes from July 25 through August 15, which include Phoenix's suit from the first three games, Apollo's street clothes, and Kokone's high school uniform.

Brian Keltner, Public Relations Manager at CAPCOM, confirmed in September that his company plans to release the game in the West.

Update: A demo will be available from the Nintendo 3DS eShop in June in Japan.
