Pixiv Art Site Gets Its Own Reality Competition Show

The Japanese art website pixiv announced on Friday that it is teaming up with television broadcaster Fuji TV for its own drawing competition television show. Illucon, short for Illustration Contest will premiere on October 11.
The show will have public drawing auditions with live voting and results. The first audition asks artists are asked to submit a mascot character for the show in cooperation with the fashion brand Galaxxxy. Entries will be accepted from September 17 to October 1.
The pixiv art website reported it had over 5 million users as of last year.
